The ‘Active Patient’ is a research project conducted by academic researchers at Durham University, Department of Geography and Centre for Medical Humanities.  It is funded by an ESRC Future Research Leaders Award and also enjoys support from the Wellcome Trust, Wolfson Research Institute for Health and Wellbeing, Hubbub @ Wellcome, and partner organisations NTWSU&C, North East Together and Launchpad.  This site is maintained by the principle investigator, Dr Jenny Laws.
